Itineraries

Day 1

MANAGUA -> LEÓN (- / - / D)

Arrival in Managua You’ll meet your guide at Managua International airport and begin your Nicaraguan adventure with a private 2 hours transfer towards the beutiful colonial town of Leon. Get briefed on your tour itinerary before sleeping off any unwanted jetlag while you enjoy an special welcome dinner.

Day 2

LEÓN -> BEACH OF LEON (B / L / D)

Volcano boarding & Pacific sunset. Start an adrenaline day sandboarding down the slope of one of the most active and youngest volcano in Nicaragua. Visit León‘s highlights with your guide to learn about its history, architecture, culture, and people, and then take a short drive to the beach in time to catch a perfect sunset from your beachfront cabin at the sea turtle project.

Day 3

BEACH OF LEON (B / L / D)

Sea Turtle Project. Sea Turtles day! After breakfast you will take a brief Sea Turtle Orientation class to prepare you for your hands on service work. At night, you’ll put your new knowledge to work on the beach to monitor for nesting and hatchling activity

Day 4

LEON -> ESTELI (B  / L  / D)

Stone man & Tisey Nature Reserve. Ready to scape some of the heat? Today you will head towards Northern highlands of Nicaragua starting with a wonderful and unexpected mini adventure with don Alberto, a local sculptor that has been carving figures and images into the rocks around his house for nearly 30 years.

Day 5

ESTELI - MATAGALPA (B / L / D)

Cigars & Coffee Farm. Visit a cigar factory and learn about the cigar-making process and its history in the region, enjoy the most famous "güirilas", a traditional northern local dish that you simply can ´t miss and reach one of the most exclusive mountain hotel plenty of atractions such as hiking trails, coffee production, butterfly garden and more.

Day 6

MATAGALPA (B / L / D)

Cloud Forest Hiking. After breakfast, you will go to one of the country‘s most important cloud forests: The Peñas Blancas Massif, the southern boundary of Bosawas Biosphere Reserve, part of the largest protected expanse of rainforest north of the Amazon and home to some of the region's last giant anteaters, spider monkeys, jaguars, harpy eagles and tapirs.

Day 7

MATAGALPA -> MANAGUA (B / L / D)

Cocoa Tour & Waterfalls. Follow the life of a cocoa bean from tree to artisanal chocolate and end with chocolate tasting. Before leaving the cool mountains of Matagalpa, enjoy one the most beutiful waterfall and follow the trail into the caves behind for a more intimate experience. Lastly, you will move to Managua for a well-deserved and relax in the pool of a beautiful guest house.

Day 8 - 10

MANAGUA -> LITTLE CORN ISLAND (- / - / -)

Big Corn Island & Little Corn Island. An early domestic flight will take you along Corn Islands, the lost little islands of the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. Crystal clear, warm Caribbean water. You will take a boat to move from Big to Little Corn Island. Virgin beaches, no roads. Be ready to explore the island by your own way. An unforgetteable experience.

Days 11 -12

CORN ISLAND-> RIVAS (B  / -  / - )

South Pacific Beaches. Departure in flight in the early morning in flight to Managua, arrival and take a private transportation to the South Pacific. Enjoy the contrast of Pacific coast in an exclusive spot to relax during two days. Visit San Juan del Sur and try some incredible seafood at famous beach front restaurants.

Day 13

RIVAS -> GRANADA (B  / -  / D)

Granada & Masaya Volcano. Visit the oldest colonial city in Central America, Granada City and have a closer perception of the local culture, gastronomy, architecture and history. In the afternoon visit the famous Masaya volcano to see its mega smoking crater at night with chance to see lava. 

Day 14

GRANADA-> APOYO (B  / -  / D)

Artisan Market and Apoyo Lagoon. Visit Masaya market, the most famous handicrafts market in Nicaragua, and then San Juan de Oriente, famous for the pottery that they have being doing since indigenous time. End your day swimming in the crater of an ancient volcano.  

Day 15

APOYO - MANAGUA AIRPORT (B  / -  / -)

Return home. This morning you will go back to Managua to connect (unfortunately) with your flight home.
